New Dynaplug Racer Pro gets twice the tubeless tire plugs with Twin Tube technology

One of the fastest, and easiest tire plugging tools just got better. If you’re not familiar with Dynaplug and you run tubeless tires, well, you should be. They produce beautifully functional tools to get you back on the road or trail after a flat. And their Racer tool made the process even faster thanks to easily removed caps, and two tire plugs loaded and ready to stab. Already their most popular tire plugging tool (and lightest in carbon), the Racer now gains twice the tire plugs to become the Racer Pro!

The secret is their Twin Tube technology that was introduced on their Covert Bar End Tubeless Repair kit. Each plug is actually two, with a fairly coarse thread in the middle that allows them to be unthreaded from the main tool body quickly. Then, flip it around and thread it back in to utilize the other pre-loaded plug. One of the two Twin Tubes also features a Megaplug for those times where a standard plug just won’t cut it.

Even though the tool gained two additional plugs, impressively it only weighs 2g more than the previous version at an actual weight of 26g. As usual, it’s machined in Chico, California from billet aluminum and stainless steel for a very high end feel. The tool itself is very slim, and easily fits in jersey or short pockets, and the longer handle makes it easy to control when repairing a tire.

The snap-on caps are held in place with o-rings for quick removal, meaning if you get a puncture that’s slowly leaking, you can quickly grab the tool, pop off the cap, and stab the tire while preserving some of the air and sealant inside.

The Racer Pro sells for $54.99, and is offered in Polished, Black, Bronze, or Ristra. Each tool is sold with three standard plugs with a brass tip, and one Megaplug with a rounded aluminum tip. Additional plugs are sold for $10.99 for a five pack of standard plugs, or $12.99 for a three pack of Megaplugs.
