Pactimo Tellus collection offers gravel focused gear, plus all new Ascent road bike jersey

For years, Pactimo has excelled at producing quality cycling gear for the road. More recently, they’ve ventured off-road as well with a full mountain bike clothing line. What’s next? Gravel, of course.Advertisements

OK, truthfully, the Tellus collection is functional for more than just gravel rides. The clothing is meant for any off road pursuit where ‘baggies’ are preferred over spandex, but you still want something with a fairly slim fit that won’t be flapping in the breeze. Designed with a focus on simplicity, the summer weight pieces are available for men and women in a variety of styles.

Up top, the Tellus collection includes a number of variations on the same super light weight jersey. Available in short sleeve or long sleeve and in men’s and women’s, the fabric is an Italian 4-way stretch dimensional mesh knit with BreathLITE underarms. While baggier than a true road jersey, the fit is said to be trim with a drop-back design to avoid pulling up when you’re hunched over.

While there aren’t any pockets to keep the weight down, the jersey does feature a hidden sunglass wipe under the hem. Offered in the solid colored Classic, or wild colored Expanse, SS jerseys will sell for $75 while LS will be $85.

The jersey is meant to pair well with the Tellus Short, which offers a trim fit and casual appearance. The use of 37.5 Polyester yarns and spandex result in a short with 4 way stretch and an extra boost of cooling power from the Cocona particles woven into the short. This short is much lighter than typical mountain bike shorts with a medium weighing in at just 113g.

Outside, you’ll find two backwards facing zippered pockets for smaller items, as well as two external mesh dump pockets for snacks, trash, etc. Since the shorts are meant to be paired with the Tellus Bib liner below, pockets were kept to a minimum to improve their feel when pedaling. Offered in men’s and women’s in one color, the shorts sell for $120.

Under those shorts, Pactimo offers their latest take on the bib cargo liner. The Tellus Bib Short Liner uses a high end Elastic Interface chamois for all day comfort and a nylon/spandex stretch mesh for breathability – even on the leg bands. On the back, you’ll find three pockets which are positioned so they sit above the waist band of the outer short. This keeps the contents close to your back and keeps them from flopping around, but if it’s like their past liners, it may make it more difficult to access the pockets – particularly if your not super flexible, have shoulder issues, etc. In order to make them a bit easier to access though, the side pockets have tapered openings and are meant for smaller items. The center pocket is extra tall and can hold a full 22oz water bottle or large phone.

\"Pactimo

Again offered in men’s or women’s, the Tellus Bib Short Liners will sell for $115.

Pactimo will also offer the Tellus liner in a short which provides the same Elastic Interface Chamois, but loses the straps and the pockets. This one will sell for $100 in men’s or women’s.

For those who prefer their gear to be a bit tighter fitting, Pactimo has completely revised their popular Ascent jersey. Starting with a new dimensional knit polyester fabric, Pactimo claims the result is a more flattering look that also offers UPF 50+ protection.

\"Pactimo

Offered in two fits, you’ll have the choice of tight fitting Aero, or a roomier Traditional Fit depending on your needs or desires.

\"Pactimo

Using a new YKK semi-locking zipper with rubber pull tab, the jersey is easy to open or close for temperature regulation with one hand, but the zipper flips down to lock in the position when you’re done.

\"Pactimo

Big rides call for big storage. That’s why Pactimo has increased the storage capacity of the Ascent pockets by adding expandable bellows at the bottom of each pocket which allow for them to stretch to hold more snacks. There’s also a hidden zippered pocket on the Traditional fit jersey for valuables.

\"Pactimo

Being seen is also important, so each jersey has reflective tabs on the sleeves and below the rear pockets.

The ascent is available in a number of different styles and colors, including long sleeve, short sleeve, and even sleeveless in both men’s and women’s. Pricing ranges from $110 to $125 depending on the model.
