The New Shortfit Superleggera is Available Now
After its launch at Eurobike 2019, the Shortfit Superlight is now available

\"\"

This light, ergonomic saddle with an appealing design was developed to meet the needs of the most discerning riders. The unique, ergonomic shape, which is typical to Selle San Marco “Shortfit” saddles, features a shorter length that provides even distribution to both the back and front, relieving pressure while pedaling.

Open-Fit – the large central hole in the saddle helps to insure comfort and support in different riding conditions and distributes weight evenly along the entire length of the saddle, promoting blood circulation and relieving pressure to the prostatic area. The curved side profile creates a central depression of more than 5 mm, which not only makes this saddle part of the Waved category, it also favors correct posture on the bike and has become particularly important for the women’s market.

The Shortfit is available in several different versions: CFX, Racing and Dynamic, and now also in the Superleggera version with a setup that uses specific technology and material to make it as lightweight as possible. The result is an ultra-light saddle featuring a super light Microfeel cover, Pexfoam padding, a shell in Full Carbon and a frame in ultralight full carbon. This saddle was developed for performance, but in no way compromises comfort.

\"\"

MICROFEEL superlight is a special, thin, microfibre material that is very resistant to scrapes and weather; it is also highly antiperspirant. Its composition makes it quite pleasant to the touch and guarantees easy maintenance.

PEXFOAM is a highly performing, innovative and ultralight material. It features variable thickness and exceptional memory with consequent energy return. It tolerates high and low temperatures and is eco-compatible.

The shell in FULL CARBON is hand made in the highest quality carbon fibre material, the result of intense engineering research into the shape and structure, combined with excellent craftsmanship to guarantee uncompromising lightness and performance.

Finally, the frame is made entirely in carbon and features the DNA Trademark (Dynamic Node Action). This exclusive technology prevents torsion and makes the carbon fibre frame even more rigid. The longer central part gives the saddle a wider range of adjustment.

The Shortfit Superleggera, a handmade padded and covered saddle, weighs just 125gr, and is available in the size idmatch L3.

Canyon Launch Latest-Generation Ultimate CF Evo 2020
\"\"

Canyon is renowned for delivering outstanding technology and quality at an unprecedented price point. For democratizing performance. And we’re proud of that. But what happens when price is no factor? When you remove the limits? When you give the world’s best engineers free rein to create a true hyperbike? You get the Ultimate CF Evo.

On 25 February, the new 2020 rim and disc brake Ultimate CF Evo models will be available online and exclusive at canyon.com. The Ultimate is a classic race bike with a long and successful history in the pro peloton, with two World Championships and three Grand Tours headlining the rich palmarès of the Ultimate CF SLX. And now, the Ultimate CF Evo is taking things to the next level: even lighter than the SLX, with no compromises in terms of strength, stiffness, compliance, or usability.

\"\"

With the Evo, our efforts to create the very best took us to the limits of what’s possible using existing engineering methods. In terms of materials, during development, we had to get special permission from the Japanese Ministry of Defense just to be able to use the highest-grade carbon available. And thanks to that unique carbon layup – and the experience, expertise, and daring of our engineers – the Evo delivers unprecedented numbers: a 665 g frame and 270 g for the rim brake version, and 675 g frame and 285 g fork for the disc brake version. The perfect base for a lightweight dream build. This is performance unrivaled.

But it’s not just about numbers. Each frame features exclusive, reduced artwork that perfectly complements the bike’s carbon aesthetic. And from highly technical to superlight, only the finest components make it onto Ultimate CF Evo bikes – including SRAM’s wireless Red eTap AXS groupsets with integrated Quarq power meters, limited-edition DT Swiss disc wheels, and exceptional THM Fibula rim brakes. Because sometimes, only the very best of the very best will do.

Ride & Seek Unveils “Conquest of the Moors” Cycling Tour Across Morocco, Portugal and Spain
\"\"

Ride & Seek is thrilled to unveil the 23-Day, 1,488 km “Conquest of the Moors” cycling tour. Split into two stages, intrepid travelers will explore the history of the Moors by cycling from Fez to Tangiers, Morocco, before crossing the Mediterranean Sea to the Iberian Peninsula and riding from Silves, Portugal to Cordoba, Spain on a tour that provides wonderful insight into the legacy left by 700 years of Muslim rule. The epic journey is scheduled for September 28 – October 20, 2020 and ranges in price from $3,874 to $9,767 USD. Hi-res photos can be downloaded here.

The first stage of this grand cycling adventure starts in Fez, a northeastern Moroccan city often referred to as the country’s cultural capital and primarily known for its Fes el Bali walled medina, medieval architecture, vibrant souks, and old-world atmosphere. The route incorporates the Imperial city of Meknes, the Roman archaeological site of Volubilis, and the enchanting town of Ifrane in Morocco’s Middle Atlas Mountains. Next, riders head north to the city of Chefchaouen, known to many in the West as the “Blue City” and Tetouan, known as the “White Dove.” The atmospheric city of Tangiers marks the end of stage one.

Stage two heads across the Mediterranean Sea to the Iberian Peninsula for a cycling journey from Silves, Portugal to Cordoba, Spain. This stretch affords guests a chance to explore a remarkable period of European history. The Islamic influence is still very apparent across southern Portugal and Spain.

“Beginning on the beautiful southern coastline of Portugal, stage two starts in the ancient capital of the region,” said Ride & Seek Founder Dylan Reynolds. “Under the Moors, it held significant strategic importance with boats arriving from North Africa along the Arade River and served as an important trading post and defensive stronghold.”

After crossing the border into Spain, the route heads into the Parque Nacional de Doñana before descending to the town of Jerez de la Frontera.

“Known for its sherry production, equestrian art and flamenco music, Jerez de la Frontera merits a two-night stay and serves as a great place to enjoy some well-deserved rest,” said Reynolds.

Continuing eastward guests will explore the charming towns of Ronda and Antequera, with its rich Islamic architectural heritage. Walking the spectacular El Caminito del Rey, a path pinned along the steep walls of a narrow gorge, is a true highlight of this portion of the tour.

“We then reach one of the jewels in the Moorish crown, Granada, where again we’ll have a two-night stay,” said Reynolds. “Situated in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains this city is home to the sprawling fortress called Alhambra which is UNESCO listed and a true highlight of any visit to the area.”

Guests will have the opportunity to climb the highest paved road in Europe with an ascent of Pico del Veleta (3,380 meters). This 40-kilometer climb is a brutal ride. For most of the group, a day of exploring the enchanting town of Granada will hold more appeal.

From Granada, the tour heads north and slightly back towards the capital of Al-Andalus. Cordoba serves as a fitting end to the tour with the entire historic center UNESCO listed due to its Moorish heritage. The immense La Mezquita is a remarkable example of Moorish architecture and provides a great backdrop for the end of the Conquest of the Moors tour.

Conquest of the Moors Bike Tour Highlights:
● Marvel at the remarkable UNESCO sites of Alhambra (Granada) & La Mezquita (Cordoba)
● Cycle the road less traveled in the southern Portuguese region of the Algarve

WEND Bike Introduces Liquid Lube
Makers of first ever “rub-on” wax now player in drip-lube game.
\"\"

WEND Bike – makers of the first-ever “rub-on” wax-based lubricant—excitedly introduces their new liquid chain lubricant. The development of WEND’s popular paste waxes resulted from a need for a cleaner, more efficient way to lubricate bike chains. The WEND team has always known the benefits of a waxed chain, so their goal was to make waxing a chain easier and faster. The application of WEND Bike’s Liquid Lube is even quicker than its paste counterpart, with no loss in durability or effectiveness. Simply drip on, allow to dry, and ride away.

An added bonus to this new Liquid Lube is its environmental benefit. This new lube is PETROLEUM-FREE, SOLVENT-FREE, DYE FREE, FRAGRANCE FREE, NON-TOXIC and completely biodegradable. WEND Liquid Lube allows you to improve your performance while reducing your footprint.

“Our mission at WEND is to follow suit with the legacy of Wax Research—which means we’re all about creating unconventional formulas that work, along with bringing products to market that no one has ever created before,” says company co-founder Ryan Dahl. “We’ve created a new proprietary wax base that really shines in the chain lubrication department, the fact that it is environmentally friendly is just icing on the cake.”

WEND hopes to bridge the gap between those who swear by waxed chains and dry lubricants, and those who are stuck in the drip-on oil-based lubricant rut.

“The liquid wax is amazing! I got about 300 miles on one application. It’s just starting to sound a bit dry. But still super smooth. Both chain and cassette is still pretty damn clean too. Great job on this new wax.” Josh Stockinger, Product Service @ Haro Bikes | Masi Bicycles

\"\"

Introduced in 2015, WEND Bike’s proven lubricants work together to create a chain wax that promotes a quiet, clean, and efficient drivetrain. Extending the benefits of a waxed chain to riders without the hassle of traditional waxing methods, all WEND bike “rub-on” and “drip-on” products are applied manually and worked into the links resulting in a ride that’s smooth, quiet and resistant to the elements within minutes of application. In addition to its line of “rub-on” and “drip-on” products, WEND also offers factory waxed chains and hot wax kits for the highest quality wax jobs at home.

For those who are ready to lube and ride faster and longer, WEND Liquid Lube, Spectrum Pastes, Original Pastes, cleaners and kits can be ordered worldwide online at wendperformance.com and are available internationally through finer distribution networks in most major European, Asian, American, Australasian markets.
