Salsa delivers Adventure At Your Doorstep, home delivery through local bike shops

Salsa Adventure At Your Doorstep opened up a new path to new bikes this week, cooperating with existing independent bike dealers to deliver bikes direct to your home. Salsa Cycles has long restricted the consumer-direct sales of their bikes, instead selling them only through brick & mortar shops. But as more people across the US are social distancing (but still able to ride solo) they’ve temporarily given the go ahead to order bikes remotely, and have them brought to you.Advertisements

Many cyclists are using bikes to stay sane in the crazy times we’re going through, and whether you are pedaling inside on the trainer or able to safely & responsibly get out to ride solo, Salsa Cycles wants to make it easier to get ahold of their bikes. But local bikes shops need us too, maybe now more than ever, when in-store sales are grinding to a halt right as a new season was just getting started.

So, in an effort to help make sales possible for the retailer, Salsa have implemented a temporary sales and delivery method option for dealers… Starting this week, “Salsa dealers are allowed to sell Salsa complete bicycles and frames either online or over the phone for home delivery. Retailers will pre-tune the bike to make sure it’s in great working order before shipping it to a consumer.

The hope is that this can help keep some workflow & income stream coming into your local shop, without the need for you to go to them. Full details of the North American-only program are available at the Salsa  Adventure At Your Doorstep campaign page. But suffice it to say that you should be able to get ahold of any Salsa frame or complete bike, plus accessories, all dropped off on your doorstep.

Some shops are open by appointment or just taking calls/emails, while others are closed down entirely, depending on where you are. So reach out to your local shop, and see if they can help get you set up on a new Salsa. Who’s up for chasing some storms solo on a gravel singlespeed?
